I purchased this rod from ProTackle for my recent trip in Cabo San Lucas for some rooster fishing in the surf because I broke my G-Loomis IMX surf rod a week before. I'm so glad that I did and boy this is the best purchase I've made to date! I must say of all the rods I have used over the years this rod was without a doubt the longest and confident cast. I matched it up with a Stella 8K and Saltiga 4000 and it balanced extremely well as I was casting for hours at a time. We hooked up jacks and roosters up to 25kg and the rod responded very well. The rod is rated up to 150g but I was able to throw smaller stick baits and poppers just as well. This is a must have for those who fish in the surf or from the jetty and a real power house for some of those hard fighting fish. I just can't wait to hook up with some monster sturgeons here in the Delta or BC on my next trip. I definitely would recommend this rod to anyone that is looking for a serious surf/shore rod!
